With the beginning of the year 2023, the Green C Ports 2nd Plenary Face to face Meeting kicked off at the premises of The Fundación ValenciaPort.
The event took place on the 7th and 8th February 2023 where the associates had the opportunity of reuniting again in a hybrid format session after the lifting of security measures by Covid 19. The assembly was successfully held as an extensive agenda took place where participants were welcomed to establish a dialogue about the latest achievements and future challenges of the six case studies.
The meeting took off with the uplifting welcome of our coordinator, who updated the status of the overall project in addition to introducing the Activity 2. During the following six hours in the first day, the updates and recent developments of the project were extensively presented by our different partners. In these presentations, the partners could show the first results on applying different Artificial Intelligence techniques to meet the environmental objectives of the six case studies.
On the following day, Activity 3 came to the fore. The participants presented their current approaches on the third activity while a profitable discussion ensued. The various reporting mechanisms being developed to inform end users about past, present and future port performance and environmental conditions were explained too.
The session concluded with the review of the main European developments in the fields by our Project Officer who provided a broad overview of the current funding opportunities in the EC.
Finally, with a warm farewell, the event reached its end by highlighting the future next steps and providing a set of final conclusions.
